When disabled, the ECM will see the correct temperature from the coolant temperature sensor, and operate the fan normally. This product is designed to be used "AS NEEDED", leaving it enabled all the time will result in running the engine fan excessively, causing more engine noise, lower fuel economy and a reduction in power.
