aFe Power pairs a sturdy 18-gauge powder-coated one-piece heat shield with a clear-coated aluminum cover with a CAD-designed, dyno-tuned roto-molded intake tube. The Pro 5R filter uses five-layer progressively finer cotton gauze media, pre-oiled for maximum airflow, and it is washable and reusable for the life of the vehicle. The kit installs using factory mounting locations.
