As previously stated, heat is a transmission's worst enemy, and we've seen enough failures on Dodge transmissions to understand that the best way to make a transmission last is to keep it cool. We've found that the best way to do this is a deep sump transmission pan, coupled with an auxiliary transmission cooler, such as this one from ATS Diesel Performance. This cooler mounts to the frame under the truck and connects in-line to the factory 1/2" transmission oil lines.
