Keep your Duramax's MAP sensor clean with the Banks Power MAP Sensor Relocation Kit. Soot and oily residue in the intake's exhaust-laden air build up on the factory sensor, which can cause inaccurate readings that hurt fuel economy and power. This compact billet aluminum spacer moves the sensor out of that dirty flow, cutting buildup and stretching the time between sensor cleaning or replacement. Installs in minutes.
Note: Relocates the upper (TMAP) sensor. 2023.5+ trucks also have a lower MAP sensor, sold separately as Banks 64414, or get both in the dual kit, Banks 64415.
Your Duramax's EGR and crankcase ventilation (PCV) systems send exhaust gas and oil vapor back into the intake, and that dirty air flows right past the factory MAP sensor.
Over time, soot and a sticky oil film coat the sensor's element and skew its readings. When the engine computer works from bad pressure data, power and fuel economy suffer.
The Banks spacer lifts the sensor up and out of that flow, so much less of the soot and oil reaches it.
Installation takes a minute or two: pull the sensor, bolt on the spacer and reinstall the sensor on top. The black anodized billet spacer carries a machined Banks logo, and your sensor goes much longer between cleanings or replacement.
