The Diode Dynamics Stage Series Backlit Ditch Light Kit provides a clean, bolt-on solution for mounting two SS3 or SSC2 LED Pods above the hood of your Chevrolet Colorado or GMC Canyon. Designed specifically for these applications, the included brackets utilize factory mounting points for a straightforward installation with no cutting, drilling, or permanent modifications required.
The low-profile bracket design minimizes glare while maintaining full hood functionality. Constructed from thick-gauge stainless steel, these brackets are built to withstand harsh weather conditions and resist corrosion over time. Their rigid construction also helps prevent vibration and movement when driving on rough roads or off-road terrain.
Stage Series Optics
Diode Dynamics developed the Stage Series lineup using optical simulation modeling to maximize usable light output while maintaining controlled beam patterns. Whether you're looking for additional trail visibility, improved rural road illumination, or supplemental lighting for off-road use, there is a Stage Series optic designed for the task.
- SS3 Pods: Focused 65° x 25° rectangular beam pattern designed to project light farther down the road.
- SSC2 Pods: Focused 40° x 20° driving pattern offering excellent forward visibility in a compact package.
- Combo Lens: Combines a flood optic on one side with a driving optic on the other for balanced near-field and distance illumination.
Optional snap-on covers are available separately and help protect the lenses from dirt, debris, and road contaminants while providing additional customization options.
Performance & Output
Stage Series LED Pods are available in multiple output levels to match different lighting needs. Both Standard and Pro models utilize high-intensity LED emitters paired with TIR optics for improved beam control and efficient light distribution.
The Pro version produces approximately twice the total output of the Standard model, making it an excellent choice for drivers who require maximum visibility in dark environments.
Durability & Testing
Stage Series lighting is engineered for long-term reliability in demanding conditions. Each pod is tested for:
- Operating temperatures from -40°F to 185°F
- Vibration resistance
- Moisture intrusion protection
- Corrosion resistance
- SAE-standard durability requirements
These lights have also been tested in real-world conditions by enthusiasts, racers, and off-road drivers to ensure dependable performance on and off the pavement.
