Description

The Diode Dynamics SS5 Sport Driving Light Pod Kit is designed for drivers who need powerful long-range visibility in a compact and versatile package. Featuring Selective Yellow output, advanced TIR optics, and Diode Dynamics' CrossLink modular mounting system, this kit delivers exceptional performance for off-road adventures, backroad driving, and poor-weather conditions.

This kit includes two SS5 Sport LED Pods equipped with the Driving optic, which produces a focused beam pattern optimized for higher-speed visibility. Combined with the increased contrast of Selective Yellow lighting, the result is improved visibility in rain, fog, snow, dust, and other challenging driving conditions.

Selective Yellow Driving Performance

Unlike standard white auxiliary lights, the 3000K Selective Yellow output improves contrast and reduces glare caused by airborne particles and poor weather. This makes it an excellent choice for drivers who regularly encounter dust, fog, rain, snow, or rural roads with limited visibility.

The Driving optic utilizes a controlled 30° x 20° beam pattern that projects light farther down the road while maintaining enough width to illuminate the surrounding area without excessive foreground light.

CrossLink Modular System

The SS5 platform features Diode Dynamics' innovative CrossLink technology, allowing multiple pods to be connected together to create a custom light bar configuration.

  • Integrated threaded mounting points built into every SS5 pod

Engineered TIR Optics

The SS5 utilizes Total Internal Reflection (TIR) optics to maximize usable light output while maintaining precise beam control. Unlike traditional reflector-based designs, TIR optics allow more of the available light to be directed where it is needed, increasing efficiency and visibility.

The Sport Driving configuration is designed to provide strong downrange performance while remaining compact enough for a wide range of mounting locations.

Durability & Testing

Stage Series lighting is built to withstand demanding environments and undergoes extensive durability testing before release.
