Over time, carbon and soot build up inside the glow plug bore. When replacing glow plugs, this buildup can interfere with installation, potentially damaging the glow plug tip and leading to costly premature failures.
The DmaxStore Glow Plug Bore Reamer is the essential tool designed to clean out carbon deposits quickly and effectively. Simply fill the flutes of the tool with a small amount of grease to capture debris (do not go overboard with the grease), pilot the tool into the glow plug bore, and use a ratchet on the hex fitting to remove stubborn carbon buildup. The reamer’s precision design ensures that all carbon is collected and removed safely from the engine.
Regular engine operation causes soot to accumulate between the glow plug and the bore. If this isn’t cleaned before installing a new glow plug, it can cause side loading and premature glow plug failure. Don’t risk it, use this tool for a clean, secure fit every time.
