Protect the 48RE or 68RFE in your 2003-2009 Dodge Ram 2500/3500 5.9L/6.7L Cummins with the Fluidyne High Performance Upgraded Transmission Cooler. Excessive heat is one of the biggest transmission killers on trucks that tow, haul, or put power down, and the factory cooler is barely adequate for stock applications. The Fluidyne stacked plate cooler offers three times the core area and three times the fluid capacity of a traditional tube-and-fin cooler for superior heat dissipation and stable temperatures under heavy loads.
Fluidyne deliberately leaves out a thermostat, since thermostats can stick closed and cut off fluid circulation, so the cooler delivers unrestricted, consistent cooling. Fluidyne cooling systems are trusted in NASCAR and high-performance applications and are built to withstand extreme conditions. This cooler requires a Fluidyne line kit, sold separately: TLK.68.0709 for 68RFE trucks, TLK.48.0307 (keeps the OEM heat exchanger) or TLK.48.0307NH (bypasses it) for 48RE trucks.
