The PMF Alpha 2.5 Inch Lift Kit is built for truck owners who want improved ride quality without giving up the towing and hauling capability that makes a long bed Super Duty so useful. Designed around the factory rear leaf springs, this system delivers a comfortable ride on the road, additional suspension travel off-road, and the stability needed for towing, hauling, and higher horsepower applications.
The front suspension is upgraded with dual-rate coil springs that improve ride comfort while providing over 3 Inches of additional wheel travel compared to stock. Rather than relying on stiff add-a-leaf components in the rear, the Alpha Series maintains the factory leaf pack to preserve payload capacity and towing characteristics. A traction bar system is included to help control axle wrap and wheel hop, creating a more controlled and predictable driving experience whether the truck is pulling a trailer or putting power to the ground.
Front Axle
Two front suspension configurations are available depending on how the truck will be used. The Short Arm 4-Link setup is intended for customers focused on maximum traction and axle control, making it a strong choice for aggressive driving, sled pulling, or high-horsepower applications. For drivers who prioritize ride quality and daily drivability, the Adjustable 3-Link Arms provide improved steering response, increased articulation, and better impact absorption over rough roads and uneven terrain. Both systems allow caster adjustment to fine-tune alignment and handling.
Track Bar
Every Alpha Series kit includes PMF's Direct Replacement Adjustable Track Bar. Built from 1.5 Inch OD x .250 wall DOM tubing and equipped with an oversized 1 Inch QA1 heim joint, this heavy-duty design offers increased durability and steering precision compared to smaller joints commonly found in other systems. Installation is straightforward with a direct bolt-on fit.
Rear Axle
Long bed trucks are often expected to tow, haul, and cover long highway miles, which is why this kit retains the factory rear leaf springs. Lift height is achieved using a traction block system available in multiple heights, allowing owners to dial in the stance they prefer. The included Stage 2 Gusseted Traction Bar Kit helps control axle wrap under load and improves rear-end stability when towing, accelerating, or carrying heavy cargo.
U-Bolts
The kit includes 5/8 Inch U-bolts as standard equipment. Trucks used for performance applications, heavy towing, or higher horsepower levels can be upgraded to 3/4 Inch U-bolts for additional clamping strength. U-bolt options are available for both Single Rear Wheel (SRW) and Dual Rear Wheel (DRW) configurations.
Leaf Pack Identification
Before ordering, verify the type of rear leaf spring pack installed on your truck. A standard leaf pack typically measures 2 to 3 Inches thick and features a full-length main leaf running from eyelet to eyelet. Trucks equipped with a top-mounted overload spring will have an additional overload leaf separated from the main pack by a spacer. Select the appropriate option to ensure proper fitment.
Shock Options
Multiple shock packages are available to match your driving style. Bilstein 5100 shocks provide a noticeable improvement in ride quality and control for everyday use. Bilstein 5160 reservoir shocks offer increased cooling capacity and improved off-road performance, making them well suited for trucks that see frequent towing or rough terrain. For customers seeking the highest level of suspension performance, PMF Race Series shocks are custom-built to suit the vehicle's intended use and can be tailored for both on-road comfort and off-road capability.
