The PPE 168030160 Silicone Bushing Engine Mount Kit - 60 SHD (Firm) is designed to reduce noise, vibration, and harshness (NHV) in your 2001-2010 GM 6.6L Duramax. The OEM engine mounts will fail as the stock bushings wear out. When a motor mounts fail, the noise and vibration become more prominent. In high-power engine applications, this degradation is accelerated.
The PPE Silicone Bushing Engine Mount Kit is designed to keep the engine securely attached to the frame while also increasing ride quality. These silicone bushings are made to outlive polyurethane bushings, isolate vibration, and endure the engine bay's extreme heat. The Durometer firmness of the bushings in this engine mounts is 60A, which is firmer than the stock bushings.
Stock engine mounts fail over time as bushings deteriorate. This causes vibration and engine noise to become more pronounced. Degradation is accelerated in high-power engine applications. PPE High-Performance Silicone Engine Mount Kits are engineered to anchor the engine and improve ride quality. The premium silicone bushings are designed to last the life of the vehicle, handle the high heat of the engine bay, and isolate vibration much better than polyurethane bushings. PPE Engine Mount Kit Bushings are available in four different hardness (durometer) options: 40A = softest to 70A = firmest. The 50A is closest to OEM firmness.
