Upgrade your truck’s cooling performance with the PPE Heavy Duty Bar and Plate Transmission Cooler, engineered to dramatically reduce transmission temperatures on 2019–2025 GM 1500 trucks. Featuring a massive 248 cu-in core volume and 73 percent larger frontal area, this high-capacity aluminum cooler delivers up to a 45°F temperature drop under identical operating conditions compared to the factory unit. Reduced heat means smoother shifting, improved durability, and extended transmission life, especially during towing, hauling, and off-road use.
PPE’s all-aluminum bar and plate construction offers superior heat dissipation, increased flow capacity, and outstanding structural strength. Fully TIG-welded end tanks and louvered fins maximize cooling efficiency while retaining low pressure drop. This cooler mounts directly in the factory location, reuses OEM hardware, and requires no cutting or modification. For 3.0L Duramax models, PPE recommends adding the Thermostat Bypass Valve (SKU 125069000) for optimal cooling performance. For 2026 Silverado/Sierra 1500 trucks, use PPE SKU 124068000.
