Cooler, denser charge air directly affects performance, efficiency, and engine longevity — which is why PPE built this bar-and-plate intercooler for 2003-2009 Cummins trucks. All-aluminum construction with durable welded cast end tanks gives it significantly improved heat resistance and lets it handle turbo boost effortlessly.
The core measures 2.70 inches, 110% thicker than factory, and carries 10 more rows of cooling fins for markedly better heat transfer. Paired with 3.50-inch inlet and outlet cast aluminum end tanks in place of the factory 3.00-inch openings, the result is less flow restriction, easier engine breathing, and less stress on the turbo — plus higher intake air density, better combustion efficiency, and lower EGTs when you are working the truck. Silicone couplers and constant tension spring clamps are included.
