Its all-aluminum bar-and-plate core and welded cast end tanks deliver the heat resistance and boost capability the thin factory unit cannot, and cooler charge air pays off in performance, efficiency, and engine longevity.
PPE steps the core up to 3.20 inches — 96% thicker than the 1.63-inch factory core — and adds 6 more rows of cooling fins for greater cooling efficiency and heat transfer. Inlet and outlet openings grow from the factory 3.00 inches to 3.50 inches, reducing flow restriction so the engine breathes easier and the turbo works less. Expect higher intake air density, better combustion efficiency, and reduced EGTs under load. Silicone couplers and constant tension spring clamps are included.
