The oil filter is your engine's first line of defense against contaminants that degrade oil performance and shorten oil life. The OEM filter has only about 100 square inches of cellulose media capable of 20 to 25 micron filtration, and its low capacity can result in clogging and unwanted oil bypassing.
This 4.5-inch-tall deep filter provides 166 square inches of filtration media, a 64% increase over the OEM filter. The synthetic blend MicroPure media achieves a 10-micron nominal rating, and an integrated high-temperature neodymium magnet captures ferrous particles to extend filter and oil life.
