The factory oil pan drain plug on the Dodge Ram Cummins has no magnet, leaving ferrous metal particles free-floating in the oil to wear bearings and gears. The PPE Billet PH Hardened Stainless Steel Oil Drain Plug is a direct replacement for the OEM M18-1.5 plug with a powerful high-temperature-rated neodymium magnet built in to trap those particles and extend engine service life.
It uses a 3/8-inch square drive with a 28.5mm flange and installs to 30-35 lb-ft. A copper crush washer is included for a tight seal; replace the washer (PPE 500125618) at each oil change.
