Increase cooling capacity for the 6L80 6-speed automatic in your 2014-2015 Chevy Silverado 1500 or GMC Sierra 1500 with the PPE Transmission Fluid Thermal Bypass Valve. Machined from billet aluminum, it is a direct fit with the OEM 6L80 transmission and 3/8-inch fluid lines equipped with removable quick connect fittings and clip-style retainers, so no new factory lines are needed.
The OEM valve has restrictive internal passages, and when it fails in the open position from mechanical failure or debris, transmission fluid does not reach the cooler, which can cause the Silverado or Sierra transmission to dangerously overheat under towing and stop-and-go driving. The PPE valve eliminates the restrictive mechanical factory valve from the circuit, maximizing fluid flow to and from the transmission cooler. A service plug with a neodymium magnet and O-ring seal traps ferrous debris and can be removed to clear particles from the system, a feature the factory valve does not have.
