The 6 Pinion Steel Overdrive Planetary Gear Set is a must have upgrade for your 47RH or 47RE. The factory transmission is equipped with either a 4 or 5 pinion planetary. This planet is known to gaul and shed gear teeth causing either noise complaints or a complete overdrive section failure. The 6 pinion setup increases load capacity and is at a 15 degree which insures quiet operation. This item is also a direct replacement if you need to replace your overdrive geartrain on a 48RE transmission. Our 6 pinion steel planet is a direct drop in and will fit any 47RH or 47RE transmission as well as replace your 48RE overdrive geartain. This gear set is complete with planetary, ring gear, sungear, bearing apply plate and bearing.
