Your factory cooling system does not include a dedicated coolant filter. That means casting sand, rust, sediment, metal shavings, and other contaminants can continue circulating through the engine as the coolant flows.
Over time, these particles can collect in small coolant passages, contribute to heater core restrictions, and accelerate wear on other cooling system components.
Our bypass coolant filtration system addresses this problem by continuously routing a small amount of coolant through a dedicated WIX spin-on filter while the engine is running. The filter captures contaminants as coolant circulates through the bypass circuit, helping keep the entire cooling system cleaner over time.
Because the filter operates independently of the primary coolant flow path, it does not place a restrictive filter directly in the engine's main cooling circuit.
