The factory 6.0L Powerstroke EGR cooler is one of the most common failure points on the engine. Over time, the factory cooler's internal brazed joints can crack and fail, allowing coolant to enter the exhaust stream and intake system.
When this occurs, coolant can make its way into the combustion chamber, potentially leading to white smoke, coolant loss, overheating concerns, head gasket failure, or even catastrophic engine damage. Repair costs can quickly escalate into thousands of dollars.

Instead of using restrictive cooling fins and brazed internal connections, our cooler utilizes high-flow stainless steel tubing and fully TIG welded construction for significantly improved durability and reliability.
The increased flow capacity helps reduce restriction while providing a stronger design capable of withstanding the demands of towing, daily driving, and performance applications.
Every Sinister Diesel EGR Cooler is extensively tested to ensure proper fitment and long-term reliability. As a direct replacement for the factory unit, it installs using factory mounting locations and connections while retaining full compatibility with both stock and tuned vehicles.
