Through extensive testing, SPE found that the factory housing created more restriction than the factory filter itself. That insight led to a redesigned billet housing capable of increasing overall flow by approximately 30%, helping support engine durability under demanding conditions. In some applications, the added flow has even contributed to reduced oil temperatures. Whether your truck works hard every day or sees extreme performance use, this housing is built to keep oil moving where it matters most.
The housing retains factory sensor locations, uses a high-quality factory-style Buna-N gasket, and adds two auxiliary oil ports for sensors or turbo oil supply lines. It is also compatible with stock oil pans and SPE cast lower oil pans while maintaining access to drain-back bungs and heater provisions. Choose between the longer CAT 1R-1807 filter for maximum capacity or the shorter CAT 324-2598 filter for lowered or off-road clearance needs.
