The SPE Motorsport Billet Cylinder Head Dowels replace the factory rolled split-sprung cylinder head locator dowels across the entire Ford Modular engine family — Mustang 5.0, F-150 5.0, Super Duty 6.7L Powerstroke, GT350, and GT500 applications. The factory dowels do locate the cylinder head and gasket, but under high cylinder pressures and aggressive build specs, the rolled split-sprung design can allow enough gasket shift to contribute to head gasket failure. SPE's precision CNC-machined solid billet dowels eliminate that weakness entirely.
Snyder Performance Engineering machined these dowels to locate the cylinder head and gasket more precisely than factory, which meaningfully reduces the chance of gasket walk and subsequent head gasket failure — a huge benefit on modified Coyote, GT500 Predator, or built 6.7L engines. They install exactly like factory dowels, work with stock and aftermarket head bolts or ARP head studs, and fit every factory and aftermarket head gasket. Includes a complete set of 4 dowel pins.
