After extensive testing, SPE found the factory housing was one of the main restrictions in the oil system. Instead of simply adapting a larger filter, SPE engineered a complete housing that increases overall flow by approximately 30% while allowing the use of proven CAT filters. The result is improved lubrication support, enhanced durability, and in some applications lower oil temperatures during demanding use.
Machined in-house from billet aluminum, the housing retains factory sensor locations, uses a premium factory-style Buna-N molded gasket, and includes auxiliary oil ports for sensors or turbo oil supply lines. It also works with stock applications and SPE cast lower oil pans while preserving access to drain-back bungs and heater provisions. Choose the CAT 1R-1807 for maximum capacity or the shorter CAT 324-2598 for off-road and lower-clearance setups.
