The factory CP4 high-pressure pump is known for its sensitivity to contamination and tight internal tolerances. When failure occurs, metal debris can spread throughout the rails, injectors, lines, and related components—often leading to thousands of dollars in repairs. SPE designed this system to help stop contamination before it reaches the high-pressure side of the fuel system.
Unlike many aftermarket alternatives, SPE built this kit with an OEM-inspired approach that looks factory-installed once fitted. There is no cutting, no rubber fuel hose shortcuts, and no improvised clamps. Premium quick-connect molded fuel lines, hardline connections, billet aluminum components, and a fully reversible design deliver a clean installation with long-term serviceability. The system reroutes clean filtered fuel directly to the MPROP valve, helping isolate internal pump debris and reduce the risk of widespread contamination.
The included ExoFilter return-side filter system adds another level of protection and monitoring. Its clear housing allows quick visual inspection without disassembly, while the reusable 20-micron stainless filter screen can be cleaned and reused during routine maintenance. If contamination begins to clog the filter during a pump failure, the integrated sensor can alert the truck through factory wiring—giving you valuable warning before major damage occurs.
