If you want to redefine your Can-Am Commander with unstoppable power and performance, SuperATV’s 4" GDP Portal Gear Lift gives you the choice of a 15% or 30% gear reduction and cast or billet aluminum housings. Choose the 30% reduction for big tires and deep mud, or the 15% reduction for a faster setup with plenty of torque for trail riding. For maximum strength, dual idlers spread the load over twice the surface area for more reliable torque transfer.
What is a Dual Idler?
GDP’s dual idler gear portals use a second idler gear in the portal box to distribute load more evenly for stronger gear transfer. Precision CNC grinding ensures the gears are perfectly mated, and the gears are made from 9310 steel alloy for durability.
Ride Harder, Protect More Drivetrain Parts
Portals place the gear reduction in the hub, increasing torque while reducing stress on your axles, differential, prop shaft, and transmission. That means you can ride harder than stock while putting less strain on key drivetrain components.
Built Strong Throughout
GDP portals are available in cast and billet aluminum housings and come with 5/16" backing plates. Features include reinforced housings for gear retention and oil flow, advanced steel alloy backing plates, and no vents.
Available with billet or cast aluminum housings
Dual idler gear configuration maximizes strength
Cool, quiet, precision ground gears made from 9310 alloy billet steel
1.5 in. diameter 4340 hardened steel drive shaft
Housings use advanced gaskets that don’t let anything through
Universal hub fits all major bolt patterns
Gear reduction reduces stress on your drivetrain
Dual idler gear configuration adds a 3/4" front and rear offset—1.5" total extension
Lighter than the competition
Advanced Seals and Bearings
Advanced gaskets and O-rings with excellent oil resistance and low deterioration rates
Sealed input gear and double-lipped output seal
100% sealing coverage throughout to help prevent oil leaks
Double-angular contact output bearings to prevent premature wear
Roller idler and drive bearings to maintain perfect gear meshing
2011-2020 Models Get Extended Trailing Arms Designed for Rhino Axles
2011-2020 Commander portals include 4" extended rear trailing arms with all bearings. The longer wheelbase adds stability and clearance for larger tires, and these models require Rhino or Rhino 2.0 axles.
Recommended Upgrade
Portals and monster tires can place additional stress on your frame, so SuperATV recommends adding a frame stiffener during installation.
4" Portal Gear Lift Includes:
(4) Assembled portal hub boxes complete with 9310 gears, seals, output shaft, gaskets, and thrust bearings
(4) Universal hubs and precision-ground stainless steel slotted rotors with lugs
All required hardware, including recessed castle nut socket
NOTE: 2011-2020 models require Rhino or Rhino 2.0 axles.
