What is a Dual Idler®?After years of research and development, these dual idler gear portals use a second idler gear in the portal box to spread the load over twice as much surface area for more reliable torque transfer and strength. Precision CNC grinding ensures the gears are mated perfectly. The gears are made from 9310 steel alloy.
Ride the Way You WantYou can choose between 30%, 45%, and 60% gear reductions to match the way you ride. Go with 30% for fast trail riding, 45% for mud and rocks, or 60% for massive tires and maximum pulling power.
A Gear Reduction That Protects Your DrivetrainGDP portals give you a gear reduction in the hub instead of the transmission, helping reduce wear on your axles, differential, prop shaft, and transmission. Portals also maintain factory suspension geometry to help keep your CVs cool.
Total StrengthThese Can-Am Maverick Sport portals are built for hard rides and tons of fun. They feature billet housings and advanced 5/16" steel alloy backing plates for maximum strength. Portals are reinforced for gear retention and optimized for oil flow. Advanced steel alloy backing plates are stronger than chromoly. There are no gimmicks and no vents because vents do more harm than good.

Advanced Gaskets, Seals, and BearingsThese portals use advanced gaskets and O-rings with excellent oil resistance and low deterioration rates, a sealed input gear and double-lipped output seal, and 100% sealing coverage to help prevent oil leaks. Double-angular contact output bearings help prevent premature wear, while roller idler and drive bearings maintain perfect gear meshing.

Max Tire Size Recommendations for 6" Portal Gear Lift
- 40" tire size: Stock suspension
- 42" tire size: 1.5" Forward Offset A-Arms
Max tire sizes are measured at full compression and full turn. The given tire sizes are the largest we fit without rubbing. Wheel Requirements:
- 18" or larger wheel required
- Wheels cannot exceed 4-1/2" backspacing
