Description

Gen 3 Portals are geared for all. SuperATV’s GDP 4" Portal Gear Lift for the Can-Am Maverick Trail is available with 15% or 30% gear reductions and cast or billet aluminum housings so you can tailor your setup to your riding style.

Choose a 30% gear reduction for more torque in bigger, sloppier mud holes and over rocks, or a 15% gear reduction for trails and dunes when you want to maintain speed while still gaining torque and clearance.

Our precision-ground gears are made from 9310 billet steel alloy for high strength, cool and quiet operation, and long-lasting performance. The housings are reinforced for strength and reliability, with improved oil flow and no vents. Whether you choose cast or USA-made CNC-machined 6061 billet aluminum, you get a durable portal housing built to handle hard riding.

Both housing options include advanced oil-resistant gaskets, a sealed input gear, a double-lipped output seal, and full sealing coverage to help reduce leaks. The portals also feature a 1.5" diameter 4340 hardened steel drive shaft and no-leak bearings and seals.

Can-Am Maverick Trail Portal Gear Reduction Recommendations

  • Up to 30" tires with stock suspension: 15%
  • Up to 30" tires with a 3" lift kit: 15%
  • Up to 30" tires with forward offset A-arms: 15%

Gear reductions listed are general guidelines to maintain factory top speed. Installing a larger than recommended gear reduction will result in extra torque and lower top speed. about how tire size and gear reduction can affect your machine’s performance.

  • 14" or larger wheel required
  • Wheels cannot exceed 4" backspacing
  • Not compatible with dual beadlock wheels
  • Wheels need to have a center hole of at least 3.25" (82.55mm) or require a 1" wheel spacer
