Gen 3 Portals Are Geared for All
SuperATV’s GDP 6" Portal Gear Lift gives your Can-Am Maverick X3 a lift and gear reduction in one box. Choose a 30%, 45%, or 60% gear reduction, or upgrade to a dual idler gear portal for maximum performance. Built and tested in the real world, these portals are designed to help your X3 tackle dunes, mud, and rough terrain while putting torque back in your machine.
What is a Dual Idler? A second idler gear spreads the load over twice as much surface area for more reliable torque transfer and a stronger gear set. Precision CNC grinding ensures the gears are properly mated, and the gears are made from 9310 steel alloy for durability.
Portals reduce stress on your drivetrain by placing the gear reduction in the hub, helping your axles, prop shaft, differential, and transmission last longer. Cast and billet aluminum housings are reinforced for gear retention and optimized for oil flow, and 5/16" backing plates are made from an advanced steel alloy.

Advanced gaskets, seals, and bearings help resist leaks and wear, including a sealed input gear, double-lipped output seal, double-angular contact output bearings, and roller idler and drive bearings for proper gear meshing.
We highly recommend running a SuperATV Frame Stiffener with your 6" Portal Gear Lift, especially if you’re running monster tires.

Max tire size recommendations for 6" Portal Gear Lift
- Up to 33" tires with 64" stock suspension
- Up to 33" tires with 64" suspension and a 3" lift kit
- Up to 34" tires with 72" stock suspension
- Up to 34" tires with 72" suspension and a 3" lift kit
Max tire sizes are measured at full compression and full turn. The listed sizes are the largest that fit without rubbing; minor trimming or slight rub may allow larger tires.

Wheel Requirements:
- 18" or larger wheel required
- 18" wheels cannot exceed 4-1/2" backspacing
- 20" and larger wheels cannot exceed 5" backspacing
