What is a Dual Idler®? Dual idler gear portals spread the load over twice as much surface area for stronger torque transfer and improved reliability. Precision CNC grinding ensures perfect gear mating, and the gears are made from 9310 steel alloy for maximum strength.
Built for Mud and Big Tires The 8" portals provide the clearance needed for huge tires, while the available 45%, 60%, and 70% gear reductions deliver extreme torque to help you power through thick mud and rough terrain.
Protects Your Drivetrain Because the gear reduction is placed in the hub after the drivetrain, your axles, differential, transmission, and prop shafts work less and can last longer.
Strength and Durability These portals are available with billet or cast aluminum housings and feature reinforced design for gear retention and optimized oil flow. Advanced steel alloy backing plates, 1.5 in. forward and rear offset, 4 in. total width increase per side, and a 1.5 in. diameter 4340 hardened steel drive shaft add to the strength.

Frame Stiffener Required A SuperATV Frame Stiffener is required with this 8" Portal Gear Lift. The stock frame can bend under hard use, so the stiffener helps reinforce it for larger tires and tougher riding.
Installation Notes Portal Blood gear oil is formulated for GDP Portals. There are no vents because they were tested and found to do more harm than good.
