Gen 3 Portals Are Geared for All
SuperATV’s GDP 6" Portal Gear Lift adds massive ground clearance, room for monster tires, and your choice of gear reduction—30%, 45%, or 60%—to transform your Honda Pioneer 1000. For even more strength and power, choose the dual idler gear configuration.
GDP Portals are designed for a wide range of riding styles and terrain, from the farm to the dunes and muddy, rocky trails in between. A 30% gear reduction is ideal for fast rides with plenty of torque, 45% helps when upgrading to bigger tires, and 60% is built for serious mud setups.
By placing the gear reduction in the hub, these portals reduce stress on your drivetrain and help protect your axles, differential, prop shaft, and transmission. That can help your key components last longer while you ride harder.
Choose cast or billet aluminum housings for strength, along with 5/16" backing plates made from an advanced steel alloy. The housings are reinforced for gear retention and optimized for oil flow, and there are no vents because SuperATV found they do more harm than good.
Advanced gaskets, seals, and bearings help keep everything running smoothly, including oil-resistant gaskets and O-rings, a sealed input gear, a double-lipped output seal, double-angular contact output bearings, and roller idler and drive bearings.
Dual idler gear portals use a second idler gear to spread the load over more surface area for better torque transfer and added strength. The gears are precision CNC ground and made from 9310 steel alloy for reliable performance.
SuperATV strongly recommends using a Frame Stiffener with 6" portals, especially with monster tires, to help reduce strain on your machine.
