Customized Performance with GDP Portals Get the clearance you need to run bigger tires and the torque you need to turn them with SuperATV’s GDP 6" Portal Gear Lift for the Polaris General 1000. Choose your housing and gear reduction with 30%, 45%, or 60% options, or go with a dual idler gear option for maximum performance.
What is a Dual Idler? By placing a second idler gear in the portal box, load is spread over twice as much surface area for more reliable torque transfer. Precision CNC grinding ensures the gears are mated perfectly, and the gears are made from 9310 steel alloy.
Ride Wherever You Want From dunes to mud and everything in between, this portal gear lift is built for riders who want more torque, more tire clearance, and less compromise. A 30% reduction is ideal for fast rides that still need plenty of torque, 45% helps with bigger tires and rough terrain, and 60% is suited for aggressive mud builds.
Portals Protect Your Drivetrain The gear reduction is placed in the hub, which reduces stress on your axles, prop shaft, differential, and transmission while providing 6" of lift.
GDP Gives You the Toughest Portals on the Market GDP portal gear systems feature cast and billet aluminum housings, reinforced for gear retention and optimized for oil flow, plus 5/16" backing plates made from an advanced steel alloy. No vents are used because they can do more harm than good.

Advanced Gaskets, Seals, and Bearings These portals use advanced gaskets and O-rings with excellent oil resistance and low deterioration rates, a sealed input gear, a double-lipped output seal, double-angular contact output bearings, and roller idler and drive bearings to maintain proper gear meshing.

Tire size recommendations with 6" portals:
- Up to 30" tires: Stock suspension
- 30" tires: 3" Lift Kit
- 32" tires: 1.5" Forward Front A-Arms
- 32" tires: 1.5" Forward Front A-Arms and 3" Lift Kit
- 44" tires: 7-10" Lift Kit

Max tire sizes are measured at full compression and full turn. The given tire sizes are the largest we fit without rubbing. With minor trimming or a small amount of rub, larger tire sizes can be used.

Note: Does not fit 2020+ Polaris General XP 1000 or XP 4 1000.
Wheel Requirements:
- 18" or larger wheel required
- 18" wheels cannot exceed 4-1/2" backspacing
- 20" and larger wheels cannot exceed 5" backspacing
- Wheels need to have a center hole of at least 3.25" (82.55mm) or require a 1" wheel spacer
