Description

You need to upgrade to SuperATV’s Pinion Shaft and Snorkel Gear Kit if you want a truly reliable Polaris General. A transmission failure is the worst possible failure you can experience on a General, and the stock snorkel gear is a major weak spot. This kit uses 9310 alloy steel, the same high-strength gear material used in NASCAR, to handle high torque and high stress.

The snorkel and pinion gears are lapped before shipping, so each pair is smooth and mates perfectly. That means better efficiency and smoother operation than stock from the very first revolution. If you're already doing transmission work, the included optional front output shaft is a great upgrade too. It is 41% stronger than factory and is constructed from heat-treated 300M for a precise blend of strength and longevity.
