The Polaris General XP 1000 is a machine designed for all kinds of riding. That’s why the GDP 6" Portal Gear Lift offers multiple gear reduction options so you can choose the setup that matches your style. Available with cast or billet aluminum housings and single or dual idlers, these portals are built for a wide range of use.
More riders roll on GDP portals than any other portal system, making them one of the most proven portal options available. If you want more reliable performance, upgrade to dual idlers for more consistent torque transfer and added strength. The idler gears are precision cut, CNC ground, and made from 9310 alloy steel.
This 6" portal lift is a strong choice for mud riding and helps reduce stress on your axles, differential, prop shaft, and transmission by moving the gear reduction to the hub. The gears are precision-ground 9310 alloy steel for smooth, quiet operation, and the housings are reinforced for strength and better oil flow. Both cast and billet housings use advanced gaskets, a sealed input gear, double-lipped output seal, and full sealing coverage.
Other heavy-duty components include a 1.5 in. diameter 4340 hardened steel drive shaft, a double-angular contact output bearing, roller bearings for the idler gears, specialized steel alloy backing plates, stainless steel slotted rotors, universal hubs, steel caliper mounting plates, caliper adapter plates, and steel steering arms. All required hardware is included.
Fitment:
Polaris General XP 1000: 2020+
Polaris General 4 XP 1000: 2020+
Wheel Requirements:
18" or larger wheel required
18" wheels cannot exceed 4-1/2" backspacing
20" and larger wheels cannot exceed 5" backspacing
Wheels need to have a center hole of at least 3.25" (82.55mm) or require a 1" wheel spacer
Max Tire Sizes
31" with stock suspension
37" with high-clearance 1.5" forward offset A-arms and high-clearance 1.5" rear offset A-arms
45" with a 6"–8" lift kit
Max tire sizes are measured at full compression and full turn. The listed sizes are the largest fitment without rubbing; minor trimming or a small amount of rub may allow larger tires.
