The Stronger Transmission Your General XP Deserves
Put the pedal down with a complete heavy-duty transmission built for the Polaris General XP 1000. This built-to-order transmission is thoroughly tested before shipping and upgraded inside and out for better strength, durability, and performance than stock. It features lapped gears that won’t slip, a beefed-up case, and the option to delete turf mode for increased durability.
A Beefed-Up Reverse Chain
One of the most common Polaris General transmission problems is the reverse chain. If you get stuck and shift into reverse, the stock chain can snap. This transmission uses a double reverse chain for nearly twice the strength of stock and better pulling power when you need it most.
A Better Pinion and Snorkel Gear
The pinion and snorkel gears transfer power to the driveshaft, and stock components can overheat, separate, and fail. This upgraded gear set uses 9310 alloy steel and is lapped together for smooth, broken-in operation from the first mile. It also includes a 300M alloy steel front output shaft that is 41% stronger than stock.
A Thicker Pinion Bearing Retainer
A thin pinion bearing retainer can cause poor gear meshing and shorten gear life. This upgraded retainer is thicker to help keep the pinion and snorkel gears properly aligned and reduce the chance of chipped teeth.
A Transmission Case Improved in All the Right Ways
Stock cases can flex as they heat up, which can cause gears to separate. The upgraded case uses 68% more material where it matters most on the axle outputs and snorkel tube, plus extra ribs and gussets for added strength and cooling.
Choose Your Gear Reduction
Boost torque with an optional gear reduction preinstalled. Choose from stock, 12.5%, 25%, or 37.5% gear reduction for improved performance with bigger tires or added weight.
