SuperATV’s GDP 4" Portal Gear Lift for the Polaris Ranger 1000 Diesel is available with 15% or 30% gear reductions, so you can choose the setup that fits how you ride and work.
With a 30% gear reduction, you get a big boost in torque for mud, rocks, and other tough terrain. Turn bigger tires, crawl over boulders, and power through thick mud while still maintaining road and trail capability.
With a 15% gear reduction, this setup is ideal for working and farming applications as well as trail riding. You’ll gain extra clearance to get over brush, debris, ruts, and ditches while keeping enough speed for travel between fields or down the trail.
Our gears are precision ground and made with 9310 billet steel alloy for high strength, high speed, and quiet operation. The housings are reinforced and designed for better oil flow and gearing forces, with no gimmicks and no vents. Whether you choose cast or USA-made, CNC-machined 6061 billet aluminum housings, you get dependable strength and reliability.
Both housing options use advanced oil-resistant gaskets, a sealed input gear, a double-lipped output seal, and full sealing coverage to help prevent oil leaks.

Polaris Ranger 1000 Diesel Portal Gear Reduction Recommendations
- Up to 28.5" tire size: stock suspension, 15% reduction
- 29.5" tire size: 3" lift kit, 15% reduction
- 30" to 31" tire size: 1.5" forward front A-arms, 15% reduction
- 30" to 31" tire size: 1.5" forward front A-arms and 3" lift kit, 15% reduction
- 32" to 36" tire size: 6" lift kit, 30% reduction
Gear reductions listed are general guidelines to maintain factory top speed. Installing a larger than recommended gear reduction will result in extra torque and lower top speed. Give us a call for more information.

Wheel Requirements:
- 14” or larger wheel required
- Cannot exceed 5” backspacing
- Not compatible with dual beadlock wheels
- Wheels need to have a center hole of at least 3.25" (82.55mm) or require a 1" wheel spacer
