SuperATV’s GDP 6" Portal Gear Lift for the Polaris Ranger 1000 Diesel gives you a lift and a gear reduction in one box. Get the clearance to run bigger tires and the torque you need to turn them. The lift and gear reduction are in the hub, which helps maintain suspension geometry and reduce drivetrain stress. Choose between a 30% or 45% gear reduction and a cast or billet aluminum housing.
With 6" portals and a 45% gear reduction, you get the clearance for huge tires and a massive boost in torque. It’s ideal for mud and rock riding, giving your Ranger Diesel the power to turn monster tires and crawl over tough terrain.
A 30% gear reduction is a versatile choice for bigger tires, trail riding, hills, and maintaining higher road speed while getting your power to the ground.
Our gears are precision ground and made from 9310 billet steel alloy for high strength and high-speed performance. They run cool and quiet, even under hard use. The gear boxes are reinforced for strength, with better oil flow and no vents. Both cast and billet housings use advanced gaskets, a sealed input gear, and a double-lipped output seal for strong leak resistance.
Polaris Ranger 1000 Diesel Portal Gear Reduction Recommendations
- Up to 30" tire: Stock suspension, 30% reduction
- 31" tire: 3" lift kit, 30% reduction
- 32" to 33" tire: 1.5" forward front A-arms, 30% reduction
- 34" tire: 1.5" forward front A-arms and 3" lift kit, 30% reduction
- 35" to 38" tire: 6" lift kit, 45% reduction
- Gear reduction recommendations are general guidelines to maximize torque and maintain factory top speed. A larger than recommended gear reduction will result in more torque and lower top speed. Give us a call for more information.

Wheel Requirements:
- 18" or larger wheel required
- Wheels cannot exceed 5" backspacing
- Wheels need to have a center hole of at least 3.25" (82.55mm) or require a 1" wheel spacer
