Description

SuperATV’s GDP 4" Portal Gear Lift transforms your Polaris Ranger XP 900 with increased ground clearance and the torque boost you need for bigger tires. Choose a 15% or 30% gear reduction, with dual idler gears available for added strength. GDP portals are designed to reduce stress on your axles, differential, prop shaft, and transmission by placing the gear reduction in the hub.

Built for strength and durability, this portal kit features cast or billet aluminum housings, precision-ground 9310 alloy steel gears, a 1.5" diameter 4340 hardened steel drive shaft, and advanced sealing components to help prevent leaks. The dual idler gear setup spreads load across twice the surface area for more reliable torque transfer, and the universal hub fits all major bolt patterns.

The kit includes four assembled portal hub boxes with 9310 gears, seals, output shaft, gaskets, and thrust bearings; four universal hubs and precision-ground stainless steel slotted rotors with lugs; four specialized steel alloy backing plates; four steel caliper mounting plates; two steel steering arms; two caliper adapter plates on specific models only; extended brake lines; and all required hardware, including a recessed castle nut socket. Frame stiffener is optional.

Max tire size recommendations with a 4" portal gear lift:

  • Up to 28.5" with stock suspension
  • 29.5" with a 3" lift kit
  • 31" with 1.5" forward front A-arms
  • 31" with 1.5" forward front A-arms and a 3" lift kit
  • 36" with a 6" lift kit

Max tire sizes are measured at full compression and full turn. The sizes listed are the largest that fit without rubbing; larger tires may be possible with minor trimming or some rub. If you need help choosing the right gear reduction, use the portal gear reduction calculator.

Notes:

  • Will not fit the 2016 Ranger 900 Diesel
  • Frame stiffener does not fit High Lifter Edition

Wheel requirements:

  • 14" or larger wheel required
  • Cannot exceed 5" backspacing
  • Not compatible with dual beadlock wheels
  • Wheels must have a center hole of at least 3.25" (82.55 mm) or require a 1" wheel spacer
