Gen 3 Portals are geared for all. SuperATV’s 6" GDP Portal Gear Lift gives your Polaris Ranger XP 900 more ground clearance and your choice of 30%, 45%, or 60% gear reduction to put more power to the ground. Optional dual idler gears add strength and reliability for hard rides and hard work.
GDP portal gear lifts are built for a wide range of riding styles, from desert and dunes to technical trails and mud. Choose a 30% reduction for faster riding with plenty of torque, 45% for larger tires and rougher rides, or 60% for serious mud builds. Because the gear reduction happens in the hub instead of the transmission, stress is reduced on the axles, differential, prop shaft, and transmission.
Dual Idler® configuration spreads the load over twice as much surface area for stronger torque transfer. The gears are precision CNC ground and made from 9310 steel alloy for reliable performance.
This portal kit features cast or billet aluminum housings, 5/16" advanced steel alloy backing plates, a 1.5" diameter 4340 hardened steel drive shaft, advanced gaskets or O-rings, a sealed input gear, double-lipped output seal, double-angular contact output bearings, and roller idler and drive bearings. The universal hub fits all major bolt patterns.
6" Portal Gear Lift includes:
- (4) Assembled portal hub boxes complete with 9310 gears, seals, output shaft, gaskets or O-rings, and thrust bearings
- (4) Universal hubs and precision-ground stainless steel slotted rotors with lugs
- (4) Specialized steel alloy backing plates
- (4) Steel caliper mounting plates
- (2) Steel steering arms
- Extended brake lines
- All required hardware, including recessed castle nut socket
- Frame stiffener (must select at checkout)
Max tire size recommendations with 6" portals:
- 30" tires: Stock suspension
- 31" tires: 3" lift kit
- 32" to 33" tires: 1.5" forward front A-arms
- 34" tires: 1.5" forward front A-arms and 3" lift kit
- 35" to 38" tires: 6" lift kit
Max tire sizes are measured at full compression and full turn. Larger tires may be possible with minor trimming or some rub. If you need help choosing a gear reduction, use the portal gear reduction calculator.

Notes:
- Will not fit the 2016 Ranger 900 Diesel
- Frame stiffener does not fit High Lifter Edition
- 18" or larger wheel required
- Cannot exceed 5" backspacing
- Wheels need a center hole of at least 3.25" (82.55 mm) or require a 1" wheel spacer
