Gear Down and Go Big
SuperATV’s GDP 8" Portal Gear Lift for the Polaris RZR XP Turbo gives you lift and gear reduction in one package. Choose a 45% or 60% gear reduction, or go extreme with a 70% gear reduction and dual idler gears. It adds ground clearance for bigger tires and delivers the torque needed to turn them, while helping reduce stress on your drivetrain.
Available with cast or USA-made 6061 billet aluminum housings, these portals are built for strength with 5/16" backing plates made from an advanced steel alloy. Dual idler gear configuration is designed to spread load over more surface area for improved torque transfer, and the precision-ground 9310 steel gears are made for durability and smooth operation.

These portals use sealed input gears, double-lipped output seals, double-angular contact output bearings, and roller idler and drive bearings to help maintain proper gear meshing and durability. Reinforced housings are optimized for gear retention and oil flow, and they can be enhanced with Portal Blood gear oil formulated for GDP Portals.
SuperATV also recommends adding a frame stiffener. The stock frame can bend under hard impacts, and a stiffener helps support your machine when running 8" portals with monster tires.
8" Portal Gear Lift includes:
- (4) Assembled portal hub boxes complete with 9310 gears, seals, output shaft, gaskets, and thrust bearings
- (4) Universal hubs and precision-ground stainless steel slotted rotors with lugs
- (4) Specialized steel alloy backing plates
- (4) Steel caliper mounting plates
- (2) Rear caliper adapter plates
- (2) Front caliper adapter plates (dual idler configuration only)
- (2) Steel steering arms
- (4) Shims (for specific year models only)
- Extended brake lines
- Frame stiffener must be selected at checkout
- All required hardware, including recessed castle nut socket
Max tire size recommendations for 8" Portal Gear Lift:
- 40" tires: stock suspension
- 42" tires: 1.5" Forward Front A-Arms
- 44" tires: 1.5" Forward Front A-Arms and 3" Lift Kit
- 50" tires: 10" Lift Kit
Max tire sizes are measured at full compression and full turn. Larger tire sizes may be possible with minor trimming or a small amount of rub. If you need help choosing the right gear reduction, use the portal gear reduction calculator.

Wheel requirements:
- 22" or larger wheel required
- Wheels cannot exceed 5" backspacing
- Wheels need a center hole of at least 3.25" (82.55 mm) or require a 1" wheel spacer
