Description

SuperATV’s GDP 4" Portal Gear Lift for the Yamaha Wolverine is built to boost power and performance with your choice of 15% or 30% gear reduction and cast or billet aluminum housings. For even more strength, choose the dual idler configuration for the strongest portals available.

Rocks, trails, and mud are no match for a portal gear lift. A 30% gear reduction gives you extra torque for turning big tires in tough terrain, while a 15% gear reduction delivers punchy torque with more open-throttle fun on trails and tracks. Because the gear reduction is located in the hub, your axles, differential, drive shaft, and transmission work less and wear less.

Choose from reinforced cast aluminum or USA-made, CNC-machined 6061 billet aluminum housings, supported by steel alloy backing plates for trail-proven strength. The dual idler gear setup spreads the load across twice the surface area for more reliable torque transfer, and the precision-ground 9310 steel gears are designed for strength and smooth operation.

Features include advanced gaskets and O-rings, a sealed input gear, double-lipped output seal, double-angular contact output bearings, roller idler and drive bearings, and a 1.5 in. diameter 4340 hardened steel drive shaft. The universal hub fits all major bolt patterns.

The 4" Portal Gear Lift includes assembled portal hub boxes with 9310 gears, seals, output shaft, gaskets, and thrust bearings; universal hubs and precision-ground stainless steel slotted rotors with lugs; specialized steel alloy backing plates; steel caliper mounting plates; caliper mounting plate shims; (2) steel steering arms; extended brake lines; and all required hardware, including recessed castle nut socket.

Max tire size recommendations for the 4" Portal Gear Lift:

  • Up to 28" tires with stock suspension
  • Up to 28" tires with a 2" lift kit
  • 29.5" tires with a 2" lift kit and removal of the inner wheel well guard

Wheel Requirements:

  • 14" or larger wheel required
  • Wheels cannot exceed 5" backspacing
  • Not compatible with dual beadlock wheels
  • Wheels need a center hole of at least 3.25" (82.55mm) or a 1" wheel spacer is required
