Give your Yamaha Wolverine X2 850 or X4 850 the gift of power and performance with SuperATV’s GDP 4" Portal Gear Lift. Choose from 15% or 30% gear reductions and cast or billet aluminum housings so you can optimize for the kind of riding that you do. Or take your strength over the top by upgrading to dual idlers. With GDP, your Wolverine is limitless.

What is a Dual Idler®?

After years of research and development, these dual idler gear portals were designed to spread load over twice as much surface area for more reliable torque transfer and a stronger gear set. Precision CNC grinding ensures the two idler gears are mated perfectly, and the gears are made from 9310 steel alloy.

Perfect for All Kinds of Rides

Whether you’re carving through mountain trails or chest-deep in mud, GDP Portals can take your Wolverine further. A 30% gear reduction gives you tons of torque to turn big tires through mud or over rocks. A 15% gear reduction still gives you punchy torque while letting you get wild with open throttle on trails and tracks.

A Gear Reduction That Protects Your Drivetrain

Because GDP Portals put the gear reduction directly in the hub, your axles, differential, drive shaft, and transmission all work less and wear less. You can put the pedal down and have a blast without wrecking your ride.

GDP Portals are built with reinforced housings optimized for gear retention and oil flow. Choose cast or USA-made, CNC-machined 6061 billet aluminum housings, supported by advanced steel alloy backing plates. You can also enhance with Portal Blood gear oil formulated for GDP Portals.

Wheel Requirements:

  • 14" or larger wheel required
  • Wheels cannot exceed 5" backspacing
  • Not compatible with dual beadlock wheels
  • Wheels need to have a center hole of at least 3.25" (82.55 mm) or require a 1" wheel spacer

Yamaha Wolverine X2 Max Tire Size

  • Up to 28" tires with stock suspension and 4" portals

Yamaha Wolverine X4 Max Tire Size

  • Up to 28" tires with stock suspension and 4" portals
  • Up to 28" tires with a 2" lift kit and 4" portals
  • 29.5" tires with a 2" lift kit, 4" portals, and removing the inner wheel well guard

  • Max tire sizes are measured at full compression and full turn. The given tire sizes are the largest we fit without rubbing. With minor trimming or a small amount of rub, larger tire sizes can be used.
