Enhance the performance and reliability of your 1994-1997 Dodge 5.9L Diesel 12-Valve with the XDP X220 Main Stud Kit XD3016MS. This upgrade replaces the factory main bolts with high-strength 8740 Chromoly studs, designed with an added proprietary element for superior durability. With tensile strength ranging from 220,000 psi to 236,000 psi and yield strength between 210,000 psi and 230,000 psi, these studs are built to handle the increased demands of high-performance applications. The threads are rolled after heat-treating, providing maximum fatigue strength.
Switching from OEM main bolts to these studs allows for more precise torque readings. Unlike bolts that twist and react to multiple forces, studs apply force along the vertical axis, ensuring even clamping force. This upgrade also facilitates easier engine assembly and proper alignment of the main bearing caps every time. Unlike OEM Torque-To-Yield (TTY) bolts that need replacement after each use, these studs are reusable. Manufactured in an ISO/TS 16949 quality control facility, the kit includes washers, 12-point nuts, and installation instructions for hassle-free setup. Assembly lubricant is sold separately.
