The XDP X220 Main Stud Kit XD3003MS is designed to replace the factory main bolts on your 2003-2010 Ford 6.0L Powerstroke. Constructed from 8740 Chromoly steel with an added proprietary element for extra strength, these heavy-duty studs prevent stretching under high combustion pressures, unlike factory bolts. Rated at 220,000+ psi tensile strength and 210,000+ psi yield strength, these studs offer superior clamping force and durability. The threads are rolled after heat-treating to maximize fatigue strength, ensuring long-lasting performance.
Using studs instead of bolts allows for more accurate torque readings, applying force to the vertical axis for even clamping. This also facilitates easier engine assembly and proper alignment of main bearing caps. These reusable studs are essential for high-performance applications and are manufactured in an ISO/TS 16949 quality control facility, ensuring top quality. Each kit includes washers, 12-point nuts, and installation instructions for hassle-free setup.
