Designed to withstand high-horsepower applications, this kit replaces the factory head bolts which often fail under increased pressure. The head studs are constructed from 8740 Chrome Moly Steel with an added proprietary element, ensuring superior durability and resistance to stretching. The threads are rolled after heat treatment to maximize fatigue strength, providing a tensile strength of 225,000 psi and yield strength of 205,000+ psi to keep your cylinder heads firmly in place under higher combustion pressures.
Switching from bolts to studs allows for a more precise torque reading, as the force is applied to the vertical axis, resulting in even clamping force. These reusable studs are a must-have for high-performance applications and make engine assembly and cylinder head alignment easier and more accurate. Manufactured in an ISO/TS 16949 quality control facility, the XDP X220 Series Head Stud Kit ensures the highest level of quality. The kit includes washers, 12-point nuts, and installation instructions for a hassle-free setup. Assembly lubricant sold separately.
