Which AirDog lift pump GPH do I need?

Flow Best for
100 GPH Stock trucks and mild tuning, up to about 500 HP
150 / 165 GPH Moderately modified trucks, about 500 to 800 HP
220 GPH Heavily modified trucks, 800 HP and up

Planning more power later? Many owners step up one size so the lift pump won't hold them back when they add injectors or a bigger turbo.

AirDog vs. Raptor

AirDog systems (FP-4G and the newer AirDog II-5G) are fuel air separation systems. They filter the fuel and remove air and vapor before it reaches the injection pump, returning that air to the tank. The AirDog II-5G adds an integrated, adjustable diaphragm pressure regulator. Raptor 4G pumps are lift pumps only. They are internally regulated, don't need a return line and cost less, which makes them a simple upgrade over a weak factory lift pump.

AirDog Fuel Pump Builder FAQ

What does a fuel sump do?

A fuel sump installs in the bottom of your fuel tank so the lift pump draws fuel from the lowest point. It eliminates the common 1/4-tank fuel starvation problem with draw-straw style pickups. The builder offers sumps from Rudy's, AirDog, Beans Diesel, XDP and G&R Diesel, and most install through a single hole without dropping the tank.

Do I need a sump with my AirDog lift pump?

No, every kit installs without one. A sump is recommended for higher-flow pumps and for trucks that lose fuel pressure at low tank levels, because it gives the pump a direct, unrestricted feed from the bottom of the tank.

Does my 1998.5-2004 Cummins have an in-tank fuel pump?

It depends on the truck. Some 1998.5-2004 Dodge Ram 5.9L Cummins trucks have a factory in-tank pump and some do not, and AirDog makes a different kit for each. Check your tank or contact us with your VIN before ordering.

Is there an AirDog kit for my L5P Duramax or 3.0L Powerstroke?

We don't currently carry an AirDog or Raptor kit for every engine. If your engine isn't listed, try our FASS fuel pump builder, which covers the L5P Duramax and 3.0L Powerstroke, or contact our team and we'll help you find a fuel system that fits.

Are AirDog lift pumps covered by a warranty?

AirDog II-5G systems carry a lifetime limited warranty. The AirDog fuel sump has a 1-year limited warranty. See each product page for full details.
